DragonBall Z: The Legacy
of Goku
The Review
DragonBall Z is an exiting
series...and every episode is action packed. naturally, one would expect a DBZ
game to have the same excitement and lasting appeal...especially with one with a
title such as The Legacy Of Goku...but they're sadly mistaken.
The game opens as Goku's son, Gohan,
is kidnapped. The game takes you all the way from Master Roshi's island, through
many places, such as the afterlife, back to earth, etc....just like the
storyline.
As you go through the game, you will
find that you earn experience, which allows you to get new moves and a higher
power level. You will also increase in speed.
The fighting is, in simple words,
stupid. rather then the fist fury fights and ki blasts, you control Goku from
above, and you cant really see what he is doing. also, the controls are even
stupider. you cant move diagonal!!! you have to do a little step motion that
hurts your thumbs and feels awkward.
The Graphics are standard, nothing
to brag about...but that doesn't mean that its bad...
Score:
Gameplay: stupid step motion and bad view will bug the crap out of
you...4/10
Graphics: Not bad, but nothing really to brag about...7/10
Sound: the sound is pretty good, considering that the gameplay is flat...8/10
Plot: a lot like the series, but the action is too bland to be a real DBZ
game...6/10
Overall Score (not an average):
5.7/10
hopefully Infogames will make a better DBZ game in the future, one that stands
up to the audiences expectations.
